When The Sun Comes Up / Horror Rock - USA - July 28, 1998 MSH CD Single. Not issued in the UK. Limited edition - sold initially at a John Entwistle Band meet and greet at Tower Records in Los Angeles and then sold at the swag table while on tour. The single offers unique versions of both songs. "When The Sun Comes Up" originally featured lead vocals by Alan St. Jon (Levi), who was also the band's original keyboard player. When Alan left the band the drummer/manager re-recorded the lead vocals (with his voice). "Horror Rock" originally had vocals (repeats of "Van Pires"). When I heard it for the first time (prior to the album's release), I suggested making the song a pure instrumental because I thought it would be stronger. I got "yelled at" and "lectured" over that, but after thinking about it for a while, they made the change. "When The Sun Comes Up" has shared credits of "Entwistle, Luongo, Townsend & Levi". "Horror Rock" has shared credits of "Entwistle & Luongo".
