The Who - Radio Shows - Page 1 (1967 - 1988):
This section is a listing and description of promotional radio shows. Typically, the nice "radio specials" that you tune into every so often, are pressed on CD (formally vinyl) and distributed to radio stations all over the USA. Some of these include live concerts or interviews and come with "cue sheets", so that the local DJ can make it "seem" as if he/she is giving the interview themselves.Unfortunately, most radio stations broadcast with varying degrees of heavy compression, which helps keep their signal strong over the airways, but puts limitations on the sound quality. The actual promo CDs/LPs sound much better (in most cases). Please note that there are typically radio commercials mixed in-between the tracks.
The titles listed below are usually delivered in a simple box/wrapper with cue sheet/song title listings.
Look for the "audio" symbol (left). This indicates there is accompanying digitized recording of the radio show (music content will be edited to 30 seconds or less).
